What to know before your first pole class
*IMPORTANT* Plan ahead and be early!
- Please give yourself an ample amount of traveling time. We recommend planning on being 10/15 min early. We have a strict late arrival policy. Once the class is 5 minutes past the start time the doors will lock and students who are late will not be allowed to participate. This is for safety reasons. We want you to have a full warmup to prevent any injury. DO NOT BE LATE.
Start with the basics
- If you have never done pole before you MUST start with an Intro to Pole class. If you do have prior pole experience, then please contact us.
What to wear?
- We recommend wearing a tank top/t-shirt/sports bra paired with shorts or leggings. Typically anything you’d wear to a yoga class is fine. However, you will need the back of your knees to be exposed so we always recommend bringing shorts just in case. You’ll need the skin contact in order to stick to the poles. Shoes are not required.
Lotion is NOT your friend.
- Don’t apply lotion, creams, oils, or other moisturizers to your hands or body before class. You’ll have a very hard time sticking to the pole.
Leave the jewelry at home.
- Everyone MUST remove any and all rings, bracelets, fitness bands, or any other metal objects on their hands, wrists, or ankles. Please note that toe rings also MUST be removed. Absolutely no exceptions! Do not scratch and damage our equipment.
Did you sign our waiver yet?
- If you didn’t sign our waiver yet, then you can do so ahead of time by clicking HERE
Can’t make the class?
- You can cancel and reschedule your class directly through the Mindbody, their app or through the studio app. Classes must be cancelled 8 hours in advanced. Early cancellations will automatically return your class to your package to reschedule. Late cancellations and no shows will remove the class from your package and will not be available for reuse. More information HERE. If you need help please call us.

What should I wear?
Pole – You will want to wear fitted shorts paired with a sports bra, tank top, or t-shirt. Leggings or sweatpants are fine to start with as long as you can roll them up enough to expose the skin on the back of your knees. As you progress in pole you will need more skin contact in order to do the more advanced tricks. Please do not apply lotion, creams, or other moisturizers to your body and hands before class! PLEASE REMOVE ALL JEWELRY PRIOR TO CLASS. THAT INCLUDES FITBITS, APPLE WATCHES, AND OTHER EXERCISE BRACELETS.
Flexibility & Handstands – Anything you would wear to the gym or a yoga class that will allow you to move freely.
Liquid Motion – Layers! As this is a floor class, socks, leggings, leg warmers, and a shirt with sleeves are recommended. Knee pads are a must!

Are class for women only?
What classes can I sign up for?
We suggest starting with one of our Intro to Pole classes. Unless you have prior pole experience at another studio you will need to start with Intro to Pole.
Is there parking available?
Yes, there is ample parking space available. There are spaces near the studio entrance as well as around the corner of the building.
Do I have to share pole with someone else?
Yes, students do share poles. Our Intro to Pole classes can have up to 12 participants in them so we will have to share. Each pole will only ever have 2 people on it. But don’t worry everyone ample amount of steel time. Sharing with another person means that you get a chance to catch your breath before you try our different moves and combos.
What if I am running late? Can I still take class?
DO NOT BE LATE THE DOOR WILL BE LOCKED AND YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND CLASS. We have a very strict late entrance policy and students will not be allowed into the class if they are more than five minutes late to ensure that you participate in the warm-up exercises. Warming up allows your muscles to prepare for exercise and reduces the risk of injury. It is imperative that students participate to prevent getting injured. We recommend everyone be at least 10 minutes early to class. If you are a new student here for your first visit, if you are less than 10 minutes early, we cannot guarantee entrance into the class as we need to make sure you have a waiver on file, show you where the restrooms are, and get your station set up. CALL US at 508-251-1302 if you experience any issues with getting to the studio and we will advice you on what to do.
