We’re changing platforms!
Starting on 5/27, we will be moving from MindBody to fitDegree. Here’s everything you need to know before the switch is official.
fitDegree Basics
Why is Sky High changing platforms?
While MindBody has been great over the years, they haven’t kept up with the needs of the studio and frankly, their service is getting too expensive for its functionality. fitDegree offers most of the functionalities as MindBody, with additional features we like, that will make using it more community friendly and convenient for both staff and students. We hope you like it!
When does the switch take place?
The switch will officially take place on May 27, 2025. As of that date, our old MindBody app will not work and you will either need to download our new app (links coming soon!) or book through our website.
How do I create my new fitDegree account?
Once everyone’s data is transferred from MindBody to fitDegree, you will receive an email asking you to create an account. You must do the following in order to ensure proper account integration:
- Use the SAME EMAIL ADDRESS you used for MindBody
- Electronically sign the waiver and student agreement as part of the account creation
- Enter in any missing required information by the fitDegree system
Once you’ve done all that you’re ready to start booking classes. We will include the support article here from fitDegree once we are ready for you to start creating your account. PLEASE DO NOT CREATE AN ACCOUNT BEFORE YOU RECEIVE THE EMAIL!
What information will transfer to my new account?
We cannot transfer all your information over. You previous visit count, and current packages will be available to view. Any new visits, packages, and memberships will be visible going forward. We will still have reports with your old information up to a certain date, so if you have any questions please let us know and we’ll see what we can find.
Do I need to sign a new waiver and student agreement?
Technically, yes. But it’s really just the old waiver that you’re resigning as part of the account creation. The student agreement is updated with all the new policies. PLEASE READ IT CAREFULLY and let us know if you have any questions (though most of the info will be posted here first).
Membership
I'm a Diamond/Platinum member. What will happen to my membership?
Good news on this! We are replacing the Platinum Membership with the Diamond.
*Platinum members – You will be upgraded to Unlimited Diamond Members at no extra charge! You can now enjoy unlimited classes!
*Diamond members – Congrats! You now pay $239/mo instead of $289. This will be reflected in your next membership payment after the switchover is complete.
How will autopayments be handled during the switch?
All your current payment methods will transfer over, as will any remaining classes you have to use. There may be a delay in your normal payment date over the holiday weekend, but we will do our best to make sure everything runs on time. If for any reason you encounter any duplicate or unauthorized charges on your account, please let us know immediately! We aren’t anticipating any snags, but….. technology
What are my new payment options?
With fitDegree you now have more payment options available! Here are the new options for autopays:
- You have the choice to continue using your credit card payment method OR switch to ACH payments with a credit card backup method.
- You can change your payment method at any time with written notice to Sky High Studios, Inc.
- Credit card payments will have credit card processing fees of $0.30 + 2.9% added to each autopay.
- ACH payments will have no processing fees, except in the case where payment is declined by the bank and your credit card must be used as backup. In which case, credit card processing fees will be applied.
- Any payments more than 5 days overdue will by subject to a $25.00 late payment fee.
If you haven’t already, please go HERE to fill out the new Autopay Authorization so we can change your payment method as soon as the transfer is complete.
How will member discounts for services/products be applied?
The good news is that most of these will now be applied automatically. fitDegree offers more customization of discounts and those will be applied at checkout for members. Unless it is for a specific promotion or perk redemption, you will not need coupon codes or separate pricing options for the discounts to apply.
Example: In the new system you will see a Private Lesson listed for $100. This is the non-member price. Once you add it to your cart the member discount will show as being applied before you complete the checkout.
How do I pay for extra classes?
You will pay for these through the app when you are booking additional reservations. If all of your classes on your membership are either used or reserved, fitDegree will require payment before the reservation can be completed. All additional classes are subject to our cancellation/no-show policy. For waitlist information – please see the next section.
Booking and Policies
Can I still book through the app?
Yes, but we have a new app. It’s still being built, but once we have the links we will send them along. You will need to remove the old Sky High Studios App from your phone and install the new one. It is still a branded app specific to Sky High, where you’ll be able to book classes, make purchases, and chat with people in our community (NEW! see below for details).
We will notify you as soon as these are available. For now, please continue to use the current app to book classes through June 10th.
Will my registrations transfer? How do I book future classes?
Yes to the first part! You’ll be able to book in MindBody through June 10th. Once the transfer is complete, we will manually input you into classes from May 27th – June 10th in fitDegree. After the 27th, all new registrations will be done through the fitDegree app/our website.
How will I receive notifications?
You will get notifications automatically in two possible ways – Email and PUSH NOTIFICATIONS.
fitDegree does not send confirmation text messages regarding bookings, cancellations, account info, waitlists, etc. You will get emails and push notifications through the app. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE NOTIFICATIONS ON WHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE APP. The studio is not responsible for missed reservations due to missed notifications. We will still send you text messages as needed when applicable.
How do waitlists work with fitDegree? NEW & IMPORTANT!!!
The waitlist system with fitDegree works much differently than MindBody. With fitDegree, you will no longer be automatically added from the waitlist into the class once a space opens. Instead, you will be notified that a space is available and you will be asked to confirm your registration to take the open spot. You will receive a PUSH NOTIFICATION alerting you to an open space and prompting you to accept. If you do not accept the open space within a certain amount of time (see below), the system will alert the next person, and so on. If you do not respond within the time frame, you can still accept the registration, but it is now first come, first served for whomever has been alerted.
If everyone on the waitlist has been notified and no one responds, the space will then be opened up to the general studio. Below are the list of times the system alerts and you have to respond.
- 48 Hours – 12 hours to respond
- 47 – 13 hours – 4 hours to respond
- <12 hours – 5 mins to respond
If you have any questions on this policy please let us know. We know that it is very different and it will take some time to adjust. We’re happy to help until everyone is acclimated to the new system.
New late cancellation/no show policy. NEW & IMPORTANT!!!
Due to the system setup, these fees are a little bit different and will be charged differently to your account.
Late cancellation = any reservations cancelled within 8 hours of the start time.
UNLIMITED MEMBERSHIPS – You will be charged a $15 cancellation fee for each late cancelled class. If your reservation is a no-show, the charge will be $20.
PACKAGES AND LIMITED MEMBERSHIPS – Early cancellations will automatically return your class to your package to reschedule. Late cancellations will remove the class from your package and will not be available for reuse. If your reservation is a no-show, there will be an additional $10 fee incurred. Due to the number of no-shows with package clients, this is a new policy to help deter no-shows and help us properly plan classes and accommodate waitlists.
PAYING LATE/NO-SHOW FEES – We no longer automatically charge late cancel/no-show fees. These fees will be added to your fitDegree account and must be paid BEFORE you can register for additional classes. You can use any of your saved payment methods in your account to pay the fees. Any declined charges will result in a $5.00 service fee per transaction.
PRIVATE LESSONS – Require a 24-hour cancellation. Late cancellations will result in loss of payment. No refund will be provided. No changes from previous policy.
NOTE: If no students have registered for a class 8 hours before the scheduled class time, we reserve the right to cancel the class. We also reserve the right to cancel any class that has only 2 participants up to two hours before the scheduled class time. Please plan accordingly. Exceptions may apply at the studio’s discretion.
INCLEMENT WEATHER: In cases of inclement weather, you will be notified as soon as possible via email and/or text message/push notification, no later than two hours prior to the class time. We also post studio closings on our social media channels where applicable. During inclement weather, please keep an eye on your email for class cancellations, studio closings, and other notifications. If the studio is holding classes and you need to cancel your reservation, please do so as soon as possible before the class. Our standard 8-hour cancellation policy is suspended in these cases, up to 2 hours before the class.
Features
Connecting with your friends via the app! NEW FEATURE!
So this a new feature that we absolutely love!! The new fitDegree app has a sort of social media-esque feature where you can request to connect with other studio members, chat with them through the app, and see which classes they are taking. This gives you the chance to create more studio community connections, coordinate taking classes and workshops with your friends, ask appropriate questions to each other, share wins, and grow closer together.
We don’t have all the details on how this works quite yet, but we do know that any friend requests need to be approved before anyone in the studio can see your activity, and we’re pretty sure it’s a feature that you can disable if you prefer not to have it. We’ll update you with more as we get closer and have more details.
What is the chat feature for? How do I use it?
The chat feature can be used to communicate with both students and instructors (if allowed by the other user). Please see the following guidelines below for engaging with the community via this feature:
Chat Function Guidelines
Here’s what’s cool (and what’s not) when using it.
Use chat to:
• Ask instructors about classes, poles, levels, or studio events
• Connect with instructors and fellow members about pole-related topics
• Keep it kind, supportive, and social — this isn’t the place for concerns, complaints, or reviews
Reminder: Instructors are not required to reply through chat. For urgent matters or official business, please always email or call the studio directly.
Please don’t use chat to:
• Book, cancel, or reschedule visits
• Handle payments, billing issues, or account questions
• Notify us about suspending or cancelling memberships, packages, or classes
• Harass, stalk, or message others about anything unrelated to pole community matters
• Solicit services or promotions unrelated to our studio

This message will appear when you message the staff, but applies to all the chat interactions. Please be respectful and text the studio directly for any questions on bookings, account, etc.
How do announcements work?
These work very similar to how they work in MindBody now. We will use this section to alert you of any relevant details regarding studio news, events, weather cancellations, etc. They will appear on top and must more easily visible than in the MindBody app.
Do my Perkville points transfer?
Yes! There might be a small lag time as we re-integrate Perkville with fitDegree, but we will put the link in the app once the integration is complete and you’ll be able to see all your points and activity.
We are also revamping some of the perks, so please double check the new available options before redeeming. Any redeemed perks not offered going forward will still be honored within the expiration dates.
