Amanda Laflin

Pole and Lyra Instructor

I’m Amanda Laflin, aside from being a pole and aerial instructor, I’m also a full-time hairstylist and I love every creative minute I get of it. I have a little dance background from when I was a child. I did ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and tap. I was and am always inspired by dancing and art, so later on in life I knew I needed to get back into the dance world again. A couple of my friends and I took a class to see what it was all about. We found ourselves doing pole fitness!  Seeing how I’m an adrenaline junky, I was instantly hooked and wanting more.

I started taking every class I could including silks, trapeze, lyra, hand balancing you name it – I was trying to get into it. I love spinning around the pole fast flying in the aerial apparatuses. Even though I’m terrified of heights, I don’t let it stop me from learning new tricks. I love the pole and aerial world I’ve found myself in, because I love dancing and I’m horrible at going to the gym, lifting weights, and working out. My ADD goes crazy when left alone in a gym, so this helps me stay fit and healthy while having a blast doing what I love.
